The culmination of this year’s celebrations will take place on December 27, 2026. On this day, exactly 300 years ago, St. John of the Cross was officially proclaimed a saint of the Catholic Church. Through this solemn act of canonization, the Church definitively affirmed that he enjoys the beatific vision in heaven and stands among the communion of saints.

This tricentennial jubilee is a special grace, a unique opportunity, and a remarkable privilege for all who take part in it. Indeed, most of us will not live to witness another centenary celebration of this magnitude. For this reason, we are invited to participate with gratitude, devotion, and renewed appreciation for the life, teachings, and spiritual legacy of St. John of the Cross.
